Personal Work Sunday
I am working on archiving some of my past personal work and thought I'd share 3 images from my time in Japan.
The geisha is from a festival that took place at Asakusa Temple in Tokyo. The other two images were shot at a temple in Kamakura. The bamboo garden has become one of my favorite images.
I'll keep posting more personal work on Sunday evenings. Stay tuned and thanks for looking!
Have a good week!

Tina and Robert LoPresti
Congratulations to Tina and Robert! And can I say, the Armenians sure know how to party!
I loved everything about this wedding. My hats off to Tina who had a clear vision of what their day was going to be and she followed through as the mistress of efficiency and organization. She and Rob were relaxed and chilling by the time the big day arrived and there were more snuggles and kisses than I can even count! They make a wonderful couple.

Flower Power Foundation
This is for the new brides. I just found out about this foundation, it's a wonderful thing.
Excerpt straight from their site:
Since February 2003 we have collected over $1,200,000 of donated flowers, re-assembled and given them to those who rarely receive such gifts of hope. Thousands of elderly, sick and terminally ill in New York City and Los Angeles have been touched by this act of kindness and we intend to expand our mission of uniting and healing generations throughout America.
FlowerPower is passionate about altering our society’s culture by transforming the way we relate to our elders, sick and dying. We provide opportunities for individuals to collect flowers from major events around New York City and Los Angeles, make bouquets and give them to our elders, sick or dying.
FlowerPower is dedicated to having our mission alive and thriving in American culture one city at a time. We intend to accomplish this burst of compassion, joy and beauty with fun, integrity, intelligence and courage.

Twins!
Congratulations to Sergio and Florencia Ruano on the birth of Gabriel and Gabriella!
Gabriel and his sister Gabriella were born on June 9, 2006. The proud parents are a lovely young couple who's wedding I photographed last year. The babies are the sweetest ever and I had the pleasure to photograph them not too long after their birth.

My News!
Most everyone knows already, but I never quite made the announcement public. I got engaged! While in Costa Rica, my sweetheart popped the question and made it official. It was perfect....relaxing in hot springs, we had the whole place to ourselves, the occasional rumbling of the volcano in the distance.... what more can a girl ask for?
Here is just a sampling of photos from our trip.
This is me on the zip line!.....

This was our hotel room - the windows looked straight at the volcano in front of us!
