A New Year!

Well! I do believe I have gotten caught up from the end of the year last year! Once again, I fell behind in my blogging duties! Dare I admit this is one of my resolutions for the new year? To keep up with my blog? If I admit it, will I jinx myself? ha! No jinxing here, it's all good stuff. I'm happy to say that at least my reason for my lack of blogging is a good one! I was busy shooting! The end of the year brought some fun things! From weddings to babies and even a wonderful trip to Bali, Indonesia!

I'll be posting images in the days to come so that I can come full speed ahead before our first month is done! I'm excited for the future, so many wonderful things coming. I'm very pleased to announce I have a creative partner in crime about to join me in some exciting personal projects. I can't wait to show you what the multi-talented photographer Steven Fontas and I have stirring in the pot for 2009!

In addition, as I have quite a few talented photographers among my past and current couples, I intend on having a weekly post to showcase photography's history. I want to dedicate some time to the masters and to those who have inspired me. Perhaps I'll even take a small step off the path into the world of painting and drawing as well... it's all tied together!

Starting Monday I will begin posting "Personal Work Monday" once more. That always seemed to be a favorite.

Please keep in touch and feel free to drop me a line from time to time and let me know what you think and what you'd like to see more of (or less of!).

International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers

I am very proud to announce that I was accepted into a new group of wedding photographers called the ISPWP, or International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers.

ISPWP is a selective organization of wedding photographers from around the world and every photographer must meet the high standards set by the organization in order to be accepted. This is an online resource for couples to look for the right photographer for their wedding day.

In addition to being an online resource for couples, this is a great place for the photographers to network and to show off our work. We hold quarterly contests and I am happy to say that I won 3rd place overall in the Summer 2008 contest and 11th place overall in the Fall 2008 contest.

Congratulations Kristin and Mike!

Congratulations to Kristin and Mike who were wed on August 2, 2008 at Prospect House in Princeton, NJ. Kristin looked stunning and Mike was very suave! They chose a great location and simply did a wonderfully tasteful job in all of their wedding choices from the flowers to the dresses to the band! I will have fond memories of this wedding day, and of course, I'll never forget the bride's name! ; ) Thank you Kristin and Mike!

Congratulations Matt and Kim!

Congratulations to Kim and Matt who were wed on August 31, 2008 at The Restaurant in Hackensack, NJ. We had a beautiful day. Kim's smile was contagious and Matt couldn't keep his eyes off her! They were surrounded by loving family and friends, the vibe was amazing. Thank you both for having us there to document your day!

Congratulations Kyle and Melanie!

Congratulations Kyle and Melanie who were wed on September 6, 2008 at The Mill at Spring Lake Heights. Yes, it was a VERY rainy day, we probably had more rain on that day than we had the entire year... but for Melanie and Kyle, you'd never know it was raining. They didn't let it affect them in the slightest! Did I mention how hip and cool they are too?

Kyle and Melanie had me giggling so hard it was sometimes hard to hold my camera. Fearless, adorable, funny and just plain all around sweet.... thank you both!!

Congratulations Larissa and Juan!

Congratulations to Larissa and Juan! Larissa and Juan were wed on September 1, 2008 at Il Tulipano in New Jersey. This is a couple I just want to follow around every day with my camera! Never a dull moment! They are both so photogenic and simply willing to do anything to create a great shot! It was a beautiful wedding with some amazing dancing!! Thank you very much Larissa and Juan!
